Through BF CS Ltd understanding of cold forming we can offer our expertise in reviewing metallic components, in more cost effective manufacturing techniques. Cold Forming has proved advantageous in many cases of compression limiters, ball bearings, pins, rivets, spindles, banjo bolts, axles, and alike, where they have been traditionally bar turned. There is little to no waste in cold forming and with generally cheaper raw material and faster cycle times, cold forming can in many cases be a cost effective option. When operations cannot be performed in the cold forming process, secondary work can fulfil those requirements to the drawing specification.
In addition to this BF CS Ltd has developed and comprehensive range of application specific cold formed components, which are pre-assembled with two or more formed parts creating an easy inserted assembly into the production piece. These can be SEM’s, Sleeve Bolts, Buffer Bolts, Specialist Concrete Anchors, in all cases it is important that the demands of the application are met in the most cost effective way.
